Healing is hard work, but you don’t have to do it alone. I am deeply committed to meeting you where you are - I am not afraid to go with you into the darkness, and I will be with you in celebration when you come out on the other side. Finding the truth can sometimes be scary. In my office you will have company on that journey.

I believe that we heal through transforming our relationships - with others and with ourselves. My goal is to help you get as close to the truth of your situation as possible, and learning to be kind to yourself is the best tool I know of to accomplish this goal.

welcome!

I welcome diversity of all kinds, including race, ethnicity, body size, gender, sexual orientation, country of origin, ability, and age. Everyone.

let's make sure we're a good fit

I enjoy and have experience working with people on a wide range of issues. Some of the things I commonly help people with are: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, divorce / breakups, disordered eating / body image issues, parenting challenges, and just feeling “stuck.”

I am deeply committed to my own growth and development as a human being, which has been catalyzed by my personal meditation and mindfulness practice. My interest in meditation and mindfulness comes from the greater sense of self-awareness and emotion regulation observed in my own life, as well as significant research evidence supporting its benefits.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas, a Level 1 Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) therapist, and a member of Houston Eating Disorder Specialists, Houston Group Psychotherapy Society, American Society of Ketamine Practitioners, and Ketamine Psychotherapy Associates.

I have been working with adults, teens, and families for over ten years. I earned my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin in 2009, and I have a BA in English from Rice University. Literature was my first love!

When I’m away from work, I enjoy being a mom, taking lots of long walks, cookies (eating and baking!), and spending time connecting deeply with my people.

here's my story

I have a particular interest in training in and working with new and cutting edge techniques - such as Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and other psychedelic-assisted therapies. I trained with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in the use of MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy, and plan to offer this service when this therapy receives full FDA approval (hopefully in 2023). I am always learning and growing as a clinician, and I bring the full force of my creativity, intelligence, and love to the work that I do.

I am currently serving as a member of the Expert Faculty for the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists and Practitioners (ASKP3). The aim of this project is to bring together key thought leaders and industry experts that will help to develop a roadmap for the future of ketamine and emerging treatments.
